Cultural relics are like a mirror reflecting every subtle change in time, history, politics, humanities, and more.
By predicting the future of artifacts, this project researches on how the development of religion, war and tecnology reflects on the artifacts in the future.
After four or five hundred years, what will be the appearance of these artifacts, meticulously conserved in museums?
Will they relocate to foreign nations as a result of inter-country plunder?
Will they carry the marks of war?
Will they experience alteration driven by the populace due to societal shifts?
Will they sustain substantial harm from natural calamities?
Artifacts are inevitably subject to change based on contemporary social systems, religious beliefs, and cultural trends. Contrasting the changes in artifacts over centuries reflects the dramatic shifts in the world caused by humanity and the passage of time. By predicting the future of artifacts, one can critique the current trends in world development, guide people to contemplate the eventual outcome of global development, and provide an opportunity for reflection.

Parthenon Temple is currently in a fragmented state. Despite its fragments being well-preserved in international museums worldwide (such as the British Museum, the Louvre in Paris, and the Acropolis Museum), it is challenging to alter the fact that the temple is already in a fragmented condition.
The Ottoman Empire conquered Athens.
Islam became the predominant religion.
The Parthenon was transformed into the Fethiye Mosque.
During the Venetian siege of Athens, the Parthenon was used as an arsenal.
It exploded during the battle,
causing damage to the roof and internal structure.
Britain gained ownership of the sculptures,
Carvings from the temple were cut and transported back to England.
A : Artifacts serve as bridges between the audience and time. They are like long-buried "corpses" underground. Although silent, the traces left by time on them require a "forensic expert" to interpret for the world. Professionals such as artifact experts, conservators, and guides act as "forensic experts." In fact, audience members themselves can play the role of "amateur forensic experts," using visual and tactile senses to "dissect" the artifacts.
A : Museums offer me a chance to dive into history. I can engage with ancient artifacts, creating my own stories based on my interpretations and speculations.
Q : How do you interpret these exhibits, and what methods do you prefer?
A : If I have time, I prefer guided tours. Otherwise, I explore independently, using my vision and personal experiences to envision the texture and purpose of artifacts. I also find immersive devices helpful in enhancing the experience.
